Program overview
The Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) program at Laurentian University prepares students for advanced direct or indirect social work practice and social welfare analysis. The curriculum reflects the unique interests, demographics, and social conditions of Northern Ontario, with an emphasis on advancing human rights, social change, and social justice.
Students benefit from small class sizes and a supportive academic environment, completing core coursework in social policy, clinical/community practice, and research methods. Completion tracks include either an advanced field practicum or an independent research thesis.
