Program overview

The Master of Science Communication program at Laurentian University is Canada’s first and only specialized graduate program in science communication, delivered in partnership with Science North—one of Canada’s premier science centers. Delivered over an immersive 9 to 12 months, the curriculum combines theoretical foundations with practical hands-on experience.

Students study rhetorical theory, exhibit development, social and traditional media strategies, and research methodologies. The program trains graduates to bridge the gap between complex scientific research and non-expert public audiences, addressing pressing issues surrounding science in modern society.
