Program overview
The Modern Machining Techniques two-semester Ontario College Graduate Certificate program expands the practical skills of mechanical engineers and machinists to match evolving manufacturing standards. Through intensive, hands-on training in a dedicated shop environment, the curriculum emphasizes core and advanced machining processes—including precision benchwork, milling, lathing, and custom work-holding device design.
In addition to technical shop skills, students cover operational strategies, quality assurance, and modern production workflows needed to step into leadership and supervisory roles across the manufacturing sector.
