Program overview

The Children’s Mental Health Services Ontario College Graduate Certificate program prepares students to support the emotional, social, and mental well-being of children, youth, and families. Grounded in systemic theory, human rights, and evidence-based practice, the curriculum equips graduates to navigate legislation, evaluate social determinants of health, and implement trauma-informed wellness strategies.

Through interactive coursework, simulation modules, and a community field placement, students gain practical experience working within interprofessional mental health teams across schools, childcare facilities, hospitals, and community organizations.
