English for Academic Purposes

Fanshawe College’s 10-level EAP Program is certified by Languages Canada and meets the language requirements for admission to Western University, Fanshawe College, and many other Ontario colleges. The program features full-time professors who help students gain confidence and fluency using the latest methods and technology.

• Key Learning Goals:

  • Interactive Learning: Engage in communicative and interactive exercises to improve practical English skills.

  • Academic Preparation: Acquire confidence and necessary skills to pursue further studies in college or university programs.

  • Cultural Integration: Learn to adapt and succeed within the academic culture of Canadian classrooms.

  • Advanced Skill Development: Focus on advanced language skills across all core areas, including grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking, and pronunciation.

  • Pathway Planning: Plan next academic steps and achieve educational goals.

• Minimum Level of Education Completed: Grade 12 / High School

• Minimum GPA: 50.0%

This program is NOT eligible for a Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

Overview: The PGWP program enables graduates from participating Canadian post-secondary institutions to gain valuable Canadian work experience.
