Program overview
The Concurrent Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program admits approximately 115 students annually. It offers an efficient, five-year pathway to earn a dual degree—allowing students to complete an initial 4-year undergraduate degree in Arts (B.A.), Science (B.Sc.), Social Work (B.S.W.), Indigenous Social Work (B.I.S.W.), or Kinesiology (B.P.H.E.) while taking education courses to fulfill the prerequisites for entry into the Professional Year (5th year).
This innovative structure serves as a direct alternative to two-year consecutive teacher education programs, preparing graduates for teacher certification in Ontario through structured coursework and extensive practical placements.
