Program overview

The Concurrent Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program admits approximately 115 students annually. It offers an efficient, five-year pathway to earn a dual degree—allowing students to complete an initial 4-year undergraduate degree in Arts (B.A.), Science (B.Sc.), Social Work (B.S.W.), Indigenous Social Work (B.I.S.W.), or Kinesiology (B.P.H.E.) alongside education coursework and placements before completing their Professional Year (5th year).

Graduates qualify to teach at the Junior/Intermediate level (Grades 4–10) in Ontario and are certified through the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT). The program includes nearly 90 days of practical field experience through observation and teaching placements in Greater Sudbury and across Ontario.
