Program overview
The Health Office Administration two-year diploma program prepares students to manage key administrative functions in modern healthcare settings. Learning in simulated work environments using current computer applications, students gain practical experience in triage, patient registration, scheduling, medical billing, document production, and transcribing physician’s orders. The program emphasizes therapeutic communication, critical thinking, and compliance with privacy regulations, culminating in a seven-week (minimum 245-hour) unpaid field placement in a local healthcare organization. Graduates are equipped for positions in hospitals, medical and dental offices, long-term care facilities, and health insurance organizations.
