Program overview
The Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician – Automation and Robotics (Fast-Track) program allows qualified college or university graduates of engineering and science programs to gain direct entry into Year 2 (Semester 3). This pathway enables students to earn their Technician diploma in just one year (two semesters). Delivered through the School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science, the curriculum focuses on building, operating, and maintaining automated industrial systems.
Combining theoretical instruction with practical laboratory training, the program covers key technologies such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial robotics, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
