Program overview
The Power Engineering Techniques – 4th Class one-year certificate program introduces students to theoretical and practical aspects of power generation and plant maintenance operations. Students learn to operate and maintain machinery such as boilers, steam/gas turbines, generators, engines, pumps, compressors, and pressure vessels used in industrial power plants and thermal electric generating stations. Coursework aligns with the Standardized Power Engineers Examination Committee (SOPEEC) syllabus, helping prepare graduates to write the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) examinations required for 4th Class Power Engineer certification.
