Program overview
The Zoology program provides a rigorous foundation in the fundamentals of animal biology. The curriculum emphasizes whole organisms and their development, genetics, evolution, physiology, behavior, and interaction with the environment.
Students gain hands-on experience through over 400 hours of required lab work, field camps, and research projects. The program offers flexibility to tailor studies toward specific areas of interest, including mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fisheries biology, evolutionary biology, and wildlife management.
