Program overview
The Outdoor Adventure Leadership program (Bachelor of Physical and Health Education) prepares students to become competent, market-ready leaders in nature-based industries and beyond. As one of Canada’s longest-running outdoor leadership programs, the curriculum pairs physical and health education theories with practical adventure training, offering hands-on experiences in canoe tripping, river rescue, sea kayaking, rock climbing, and wilderness emergency first aid.
Students acquire transferable leadership, risk management, and decision-making skillsets through student-directed initiatives and extensive field expeditions, with opportunities to earn multiple provincially and nationally recognized technical certifications.
