Advanced College Diploma – Animation – 2D/3D (T993)

The Animation program at St. Clair College provides students with the technical skills, discipline, and artistic foundation needed to become professional 2D and 3D animation artists:

• Blend of Traditional & Digital Art: Integrates traditional animation fundamentals with training on modern industry-standard software, digital image manipulation, digital video editing, and compositing.

• Portfolio & Career Preparation: Prepares students to build a professional portfolio and demo reel, featuring character design, environment creation, storyboarding, and concept art.

• Public Showcase & Community: Includes an active, student-run Animation Club for collaborative practice and a public film presentation showcasing final-year professional projects.

• Career Opportunities: Equips graduates to animate and design assets for feature films, television productions, video games, web media, and digital production studios.

Academic Background: Grade 12 / High School Diploma.

Minimum GPA: 50.0%

Conditional & Direct Admission Options:

• Direct Admission (Pending Scores): Applicants awaiting language test results can apply directly and receive a conditional offer, provided qualifying official scores are submitted prior to receiving a final offer letter.

• English Pathway Courses: Applicants may satisfy language requirements by completing English language courses prior to beginning academic studies, with program duration based on initial language proficiency.

Scholarship Amounts by Program Structure:

1-Year Certificate: $500 CAD

2-Year Diploma: $1,000 CAD

3-Year Advanced Diploma: $1,500 CAD

4-Year Degree: $2,000 CAD

Application & Assessment: No separate application is required; eligible students are automatically assessed upon admission.

Disbursement Criteria: Funds are deposited directly into the student’s college account after September 18, 2026, upon confirmation of a valid study permit and full-time enrollment in the Fall 2026 intake.
