Program overview
This integrated dual-focused pathway pairs the Concurrent Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with the Outdoor Adventure Leadership (B.P.H.E.) program:
-
Concurrent Education (B.Ed.): A selective 5-year program admitting approximately 115 students annually. Students complete their foundational undergraduate degree while completing education coursework and field placements prior to entering their 5th-year Professional Year.
-
Outdoor Adventure Leadership (B.P.H.E.): Provides premier outdoor leadership training tailored for guiding, instructing, and managing in remote or austere environments. Small, interactive classes emphasize practical skill development, enabling students to earn nationally and provincially recognized certifications in canoe tripping, river rescue, sea kayaking, rock climbing, National Lifesaving Society (NLS), and wilderness emergency first aid.
