Program overview
The Woodworking Technology three-year diploma program shares its first two years with the Woodworking Technician program, focusing on machinery setup, veneering, assembly, finishing, production management, and millwork fabrication. The final year advances into plant layout, support systems, materials handling, quality control, cost estimating, and CAD. Levels 1, 2, and 3 of Ontario cabinetmaker apprenticeship schooling are embedded, offering potential exemption from in-school apprenticeship requirements. The optional co-op stream incorporates three co-op work terms across a modified academic schedule (Fall/Winter in Year 1, Fall/Spring in Year 2, and Winter/Spring in Year 3).
