Program overview
The Fitness and Health Promotion Ontario College Diploma program prepares students for diverse career paths such as personal training, group fitness instruction, and health coaching, while creating pathways toward kinesiology, rehabilitation, and teaching. Students gain expertise in exercise science, nutrition, behavior change, and health promotion alongside core business and leadership skills. Learning takes place in two active learning labs equipped with industry-standard fitness gear and gamification software, complemented by simulation activities, an optional study abroad credit, and an industry field placement in the final semester. The curriculum also integrates preparation for internationally recognized certifications.
