Program overview
The Enhanced Practice for Internationally Educated Nurses graduate certificate program is a unique two-year program designed for experienced internationally educated nurses holding a four-year bachelor’s degree in nursing. It prepares students to practice within the Canadian healthcare system, with a dedicated focus on senior care across the continuum. Built on the College of Nurses of Ontario professional standards and entry-to-practice competencies for RNs, the curriculum emphasizes nursing assessment, intervention, care planning, and evidence-informed decision-making in state-of-the-art labs and simulation suites. Students gain over 400 placement hours across medicine, surgery, complex continuing care, and long-term care, alongside NCLEX and OSCE prep courses to prepare for registration examinations.
