Program overview
The Bachelor of Arts in Law and Justice program encourages a broad, critical understanding of the nature, role, and function of legal and judicial institutions. Unlike traditional law schools focused on preparing students to practice law, this program treats law as a complex human and social phenomenon, examining its historical development and relationship to economic, social, and political conditions.
Students approach legal issues through interdisciplinary perspectives led by specialized faculty and through law-related coursework across history, Indigenous studies, philosophy, political science, psychology, and sociology.
