Program overview
The Master of Arts in Indigenous Relations prepares students to engage effectively with Indigenous communities locally, nationally, and globally. The curriculum focuses on developing policy, research proposals, and advocacy models grounded in a deep understanding of Indigenous perspectives across social, political, environmental, and health domains.
Students examine historical and contemporary relations between Indigenous and non-Indigenous societies while studying Indigenous literature, human rights, politics, ecology, and governance. The program equips graduates to build meaningful, collaborative relationships with Indigenous organizations, government agencies, non-profits, and private sector industries.
