Bachelor of Science – Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Optional Co-op)

The Pharmaceutical Chemistry program involves students in scientific research focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of life and drug action. Students study the science behind drug design, synthesis, testing, and development.

The curriculum offers small class sizes with high professor interaction, personal tutorial support, and hands-on research opportunities alongside faculty and researchers at Laurentian University, the Health Sciences North Research Institute, and the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

Minimum Education Level: High School / Grade 12 completion

Minimum Academic Average: 70.0%

Language Proficiency Tests (Mandatory):

• IELTS: 6.5 minimum

• TOEFL: 88 minimum

• PTE: 60 minimum

• Duolingo: 120 minimum

*Applicants may apply for conditional admission without language scores (by completing prerequisite English courses prior to the academic program), but valid test results or course completion must be provided before receiving a final offer letter. International Excellence Scholarships
High-achieving international undergraduate applicants are automatically considered for renewable entrance scholarships based on academic performance.

Total Award Value: $10,000 – $60,000 CAD (Distributed over up to 4 years)

Eligibility Highlights: Open exclusively to full-time international students pursuing their first undergraduate degree at the Sudbury campus.

Scholarship Value Tiers:

90% – 100% Admission Average: $15,000 in Year 1 (Up to $60,000 total)

80% – 89.9% Admission Average: $10,000 in Year 1 (Up to $40,000 total)

Renewal requires maintaining full-time enrollment (at least 30 credits per academic year) and a minimum 80% academic average.
