ParkwayConnect (“ParkwayConnect”, “we”, “us”, “our”) offers study abroad advice, scholarship guidance, career coaching and recruitment services. We have offices in Calgary, Canada and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you use parkwayconnect.com (the “Site”) or contact us.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and consultation requests: your full name, email address, phone number, your area of interest (for example education, scholarships, careers or recruitment), your preferred study destination, and your message.
  • Job applications: your full name, email, phone number, country, current location, immigration or work status, available start date, work experience, education, major, certificates, English level, other languages, transport, preferred salary, any extra message, and your resume (PDF, DOC or DOCX).
  • Other communications: anything you send us by email, phone or messaging apps.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information and the pages you visit. Our hosting provider records this in standard server logs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 6.

We do not knowingly ask for sensitive personal information, such as health data, religion or financial account details. Please do not put it in your messages or resume unless a specific service needs it.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • answer your questions and arrange consultations;
  • give study abroad, scholarship, career coaching and recruitment advice;
  • review job applications and, with your consent, share your profile with potential employers or partner institutions;
  • send you service emails about your request or application;
  • protect the Site from spam, fraud and abuse;
  • meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Legal basis and consent

We process your personal information with your consent, which you give when you submit a form, and where we need it to provide the services you ask for. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (see Section 10). Withdrawing consent does not affect any processing done before you withdrew it.

4. How we share your information

We share personal information only when we need to:

  • Partner schools, universities and employers: only for the purpose you asked about, such as an admission, scholarship or job application, and only with your consent.
  • Service providers who help us run the Site and our business, such as web hosting, email delivery and spam protection. They may use your data only to provide services to us.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it or when we need to protect our rights, our users or the public.

5. International transfers

Our team works in Canada and Vietnam, and some of our service providers may be in other countries, including the United States. As a result, your information may be stored or processed outside your home country. Wherever it is processed, we protect it in line with this policy and with applicable law.

6. Cookies and third-party services

The Site uses a small number of cookies and third-party services:

  • Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms from spam. It may collect hardware and software information and send it to Google. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
  • Google Translate offers automatic translation of the Site. It sets a googtrans cookie to remember your chosen language. When you use it, the page content and your IP address are sent to Google.
  • Content delivery networks (such as unpkg.com and cdn.tailwindcss.com) deliver scripts and styles, and may receive your IP address.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some features may not work properly.

7. Data retention

  • Contact requests: kept for up to [24 months] after our last contact with you.
  • Job applications and resumes: kept for up to [24 months], so we can match you with future openings, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • After these periods, we delete or anonymize the information, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption, restricted admin access and form spam protection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under Canada’s PIPEDA, Alberta’s PIPA and Vietnam’s Decree 13/2023/ND-CP, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • withdraw your consent or object to certain processing;
  • complain to a data protection authority.

11. Children

Our services are intended for people aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If we learn that we have collected information from a child without proper consent, we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date.
