Job description
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal parts, ensuring high-quality, durable welds that meet specified schematics and blueprints
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately to guide fabrication and assembly processes
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other equipment to shape and assemble metal components
- Conduct rigging operations safely when moving heavy materials or equipment using cranes or forklifts
- Measure dimensions precisely with calipers and other measuring tools to ensure components meet specifications
- Assist in machining tasks as needed, including cutting, grinding, and finishing welded parts for final assembly
- Maintain a clean work area, adhere to safety protocols, and conduct routine inspections of welding equipment and tools
